Fix

  1. Press: Ctrl + Alt + F3

The GUI should come back up, and the keyboard should work.

Specifics

  2. Boot Ubuntu 22.10 on the ThinkPad from a USB stick ( Install instructions: https://www.zachpfeffer.com/single-post/install-ubuntu-1604-on-a-usb-stick-from-windows )

  3. Run "Try Ubuntu"

  4. Notice the keyboard not working
